Webpage is the building unit of a website. Web page is a document on the internet which is identified by a unique URL (Uniform Resource Locator).

Webpage definition

A webpage is a document or information resource on the World Wide Web which can be accessed using a web browser.

A webpage is usually in HTML or XHTML format, and it may include elements like text, images, animation, style sheets, scripts, audio, video etc. Webpage may also provide navigation to other web pages via hypertext links.

There are two types of web-pages:

1. Static web pages
2. Dynamic web pages

Web pages may be retrieved from a local computer or from a remote web server. Web pages are requested and served from web servers using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
